End Date: 3/15/2017End Time: 4:30 PM

Event Description:

Should immigrants have access to counsel during deportation proceedings?

Please join San Francisco Public Defender and Hastings alum, Jeff Adachi, on Wednesday March 15th from 3:30 – 4:30 in the ARC to learn more about his vision for universal representation and the pending city ordinance that would establish a unit in the PD’s office to fight against deportations! The need to protect our immigrant communities during a Trump administration is as important as ever, and Public Defender Adachi is committed to having San Francisco be a leader in this push for universal representation.

Co-Sponsors include: Hastings Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, La Raza Law Students Association, Women of Color Initiative, the Criminal Law Society, Iranian American Law Student Association, and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
